Programmable BiCopter

This project consisted of a series of experiments performed throughout my Fall '14 semester on a propeller, sensors, and other equipment we were given.  I worked with two other students, a Computer Engineering Major and Mechanical Engineering Major.

One Degree of Freedom Altitude Control Experiment:

Employed pulse width modulation in collaboration with feedback from an ultrasonic sensor to control the speed of the motor and the propeller’s altitude.

Second Degree of Freedom Control Experiment:

Employed pulse width modulation in collaboration with feedback from an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) algorithm to control the speed of the motors in order to keep the axle level.
